Tucker Short, Ph.D., SE
Dr. Tucker Short completed his PhD in Clinical Psychology at Texas Tech University. At Texas Tech, his research examined how various parenting factors influence neurocognitive outcomes in their children. During his doctoral training he received extensive training in neurocognitive and neurodevelopmental assessment in children, including testing for Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity disorder, and learning disorders. He then completed a pre-doctoral internship at the Boise VAMC, gaining further training in working with an adult population. Dr. Short is currently a post-doctoral resident at NNH and is excited to be furthering his career and training in neurodevelopmental assessment. Dr. Short also possesses comprehensive training in providing psychotherapy to both adolescent and adult populations. His therapeutic approach is primarily centered on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Dr. Short enjoys everything outdoors, including skiing, mountain biking, running, cycling, and hiking. He spends most of time outside of the clinic doing these activities with his wife and son.
