Emma Shaw is a doctoral intern at NNH and is in the last year of her doctoral program in clinical psychology at William James College in Newton, Massachusetts. Emma has experience working in public schools, adult OCD residential programs, intensive outpatient programs, children’s hospital child and adolescent inpatient units, and outpatient private practice neuropsychology settings. During her four years as a practicum student, she administered several comprehensive assessments for educational, long-term, and acute care for individuals and families across the lifespan. Emma primarily enjoys working with children in addition to working with adolescents and adults living with Neurodevelopmental Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Anxiety and related disorders, patients with a history of adverse childhood experiences, and behavioral concerns. Prior to beginning her training at NNH, Emma completed an advanced practicum placement at Newton Neuropsychology Group where she administered several neuropsychological assessments to children and adolescents, provided evidence-based treatment to children via individual therapy, and produced a series of integrated reports to help inform and explain complex neuropsychological and psychological concepts to children and families seeking further treatment. In her free time, Emma enjoys spending time with family and friends, painting, indoor cycling, and exploring the outdoors.
